Satyavati Berera, COO of PwC India, has over 35 years of diverse experience across several sectors and is also a member of PwC India’s leadership team.
Satya started her career as an article trainee in 1980 and went on to become an Audit Partner in 1995. Before becoming the COO in 2016, she played key leadership roles at the firm such as the Consulting Leader, Risk Advisory Services Leader and also the Managing Partner for the firm’s North region. Satya has extensively worked across sectors in the areas of Assurance, Consulting and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Services. She was actively involved in designing and implementing control strengthening and process improvement solutions for a variety of Indian and multinational companies. In her current role as the COO, in addition to managing the firm’s operations she is driving the firm’s transformation agenda.
For the last several years, Satya has been closely associated with Mobile Creches, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to the education of young children from marginalised communities. Satya graduated from Lady Shri Ram College in Economics and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
